Purple Pigeon took flight when its creator, James Pidgeon, discovered that he could combine a background as an animation artist and actor (both with years of experience on award winning children productions) into a thrilling new artistic and theatrical passion…face painting!
Upon discovering this fun filled field (now there’s a tongue twister)…10 years ago, James immediately fell in love with the industry and Purple Pigeon was hatched!
Best part about face painting?
The random imaginative ideas the kiddies come up with.
Happen to need more than one artist?
We have a team of exceptionally trained face painters (“Pidgettes” we like to call them) and even hire out balloon artists if need be.
We paint Victoria Wide and even step our pigeon toes into the ponds of Sydney. Thanks for visiting the COO-est face painting company in Australia and enjoy your flight around the site!

Great to meet you on Saturday, and thanks again for the great face painting and drawing the crowds to the van!
Just wanted to let you know there has been nothing but fantastic feedback on our twitter feed – lots of Instagram photos of the kids from happy mums.

Your face-painting is exceptional, and all the girls and boys were thrilled with the results!
You were really good with the children too, especially challenging considering there were 24 locked inside on a rainy day.
Thank you once again for making her birthday such an amazing experience
